Privacy Policy

Effective January 1, 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how UIDMG LLC (a California limited liability company doing business as "UIDMG", "we", "us", or "our"), together with its affiliated record label and music publishing operations, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you visit uidmg.com and any subdomain (the "Site"), submit an inquiry, apply for a role, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR"), the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and comparable laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA), UIDMG LLC is the data controller of the personal information processed through the Site.

2. Personal Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identity & contact data — name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, professional title, company, country/region.
  • Application data — cover letter, résumé/CV, demo links, portfolios, stage name, PRO affiliations (ASCAP/BMI/SESAC), streaming profiles, and audio files you upload to us.
  • Inquiry & correspondence data — the subject and content of messages, licensing details, budget/timeline, and any materials you attach.
  • Subscription data — email address, first name, source, consent time, IP address, and user-agent, recorded when you subscribe to updates.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, click-stream data, time-stamps, and cookie identifiers.
  • Session & account data — where you have a UIDMG account, authentication tokens, security-event logs, and profile fields.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact privacy@uidmg.com and we will delete it.

4. How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers & processors operating on our behalf under written data-processing agreements: cloud hosting (Cloudflare Workers), database and authentication (Supabase, Inc.), email delivery (Lovable Emails), and analytics providers we may engage from time to time.
  • Business partners where required to fulfill a licensing, distribution, publishing, sync, or performance transaction you initiated.
  • Legal & regulatory authorities where compelled by subpoena, court order, or applicable law, or to enforce our rights.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent confidentiality obligations.

5. International Transfers

Personal information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where UIDMG or our service providers operate. Where data is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision, and implement supplementary technical and organizational measures where required.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above and to comply with legal, accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution requirements. Indicative retention periods:

  • Contact / licensing inquiries: 24 months after last correspondence.
  • Rejected applications: 12 months, unless you consent to a longer talent-pool retention.
  • Signed artist & songwriter records: for the term of the agreement plus 7 years for tax/statutory purposes.
  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely to honor your opt-out.
  • Cookie consent logs: 24 months.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a portable copy.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erase your personal information ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to processing, including for direct-marketing purposes.
  • Withdraw consent for consent-based processing.
  • Not be subject to solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (e.g. ICO in the UK, CNIL in France, or your state Attorney General in the US).

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): the categories described in Section 2 above have been disclosed for a business purpose, not sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may exercise your rights to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information by contacting privacy@uidmg.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, email privacy@uidmg.com with reasonable identity verification. We will respond within 30 days (or as required by law).

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures — including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for stored files, role-based access controls, row-level security on our database, and regular access audits — designed to protect your personal information. No online service is 100% secure; we cannot warrant absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site links to third-party services (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Linktree). We are not responsible for those services' privacy practices; please review their policies before submitting personal information.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective" date and, where required, notified by email. Continued use of the Site after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
