Licensing FAQ
How are fees determined?+
Every quote is issued on a per-placement basis and reflects media, term, territory, exclusivity and the specific composition or master requested. We do not publish standing rate cards.
What is the turnaround time?+
Initial review typically occurs within 3–5 business days. Time-sensitive requests should be flagged in the intake form; expedited review is available at our discretion.
Do you clear both master and publishing?+
For catalog controlled by UIDMG and its affiliates, yes — one desk, one quote. For third-party interests we coordinate directly with co-owners on your behalf.
Can I use the music before the license is signed?+
No. Submission does not grant a license, option or any implied right. Use is authorized only upon a written agreement executed by UIDMG and payment of the applicable fee.
Do you accept sample and interpolation requests?+
Yes, through the publishing desk. Please include the intended use, replayed vs. sampled elements, and projected release information.
How are approved licenses delivered?+
Approved requests receive an executed license, invoice, delivery specifications and any required credit and cue-sheet instructions.
Do you offer festival, student or non-profit terms?+
We consider limited-scope requests on a case-by-case basis. Please describe the project context clearly in your submission.
